Well, Overcast and windy…..We decided to get everything together and go back to Reykjavik, where Mary Beth is and check weather. Clean clothes, cameras, maps, etc.etc….. Loaded up in the car and left… Our hotel bill for 2 days in Keflavik was 38,000 Kronurs… What a deal !!! But then a stamp is 65 Kronurs… Figure it up…. Mary Beth looked good sitting on the ramp waiting for us. Good, that is, until we opened the door and remembered that we just jumped out when we saw Jeremy and Mikey and left our mess…We called the guy at the FBO, (he had to run an errand) After fueling up, we were informed that we were grounded due to paperwork..The guy that told us was so sweet and looked like he hated to deliver us bad news because we looked like we were having such a good time. I guess, when you slip in the country after 11pm, they kind of want to see some stuff when you turn back up in the daylight.. So here we go to the Icelandic CAA office. Paperwork in hand.. After running back and forth to the FBO and the CAA for about an hour. We got everything cleared up.. Result :::: We won’t get out of here till tomorrow. We had to unload Mary Beth and send everything to Keflavik with Mikey and Jeremy. We checked into the Hotel Loftleidir 100 feet from Mary Beth.. Tomorrow, we take off from Reykjavik and fly to Keflavik to pick up our stuff. Seems, they have started prohibiting over gross takeoffs and landings at this airport.. Since we had already fueled partially, we have to go to Keflavik to get our stuff. We checked into the hotel with a toothbrush each, and the computer. (Plus, ball caps for our hair tomorrow)…(we also may need to lose 5 pounds by the morning) Just kidding……. Nikki has decided that she needs a house here. That makes 6 houses so far, since I’ve known her. She wants to live everywhere she goes. I think time share is the answer for her. There are some really beautiful people here. Tall, good-looking, healthy………. We decided that Nikki could bleach her hair, wear blue contacts and fit in quite nice with her white skin..This hotel is full of pilots and they all favor. Everyone is so friendly here. That is, everyone except our old hotel… The Loftleidir is fantastic, so if you fly over here.. This is the one……
